The Full Story

The Backstory

As a woman of colour in tech leadership, I felt I had to work twice as hard to be taken half as seriously. I said yes to everything, never delegated, never showed weakness. I was the first in, last out, and slowly drowning.

The Breaking Point

I fainted during a board presentation. Literally collapsed from exhaustion. Woke up in a hospital with my husband crying. The company sent flowers but asked when I'd be back.

The Transformation

James didn't just help me build a business — he helped me dismantle the belief that my worth came from overwork. The Freedom Reset framework showed me how to create authority through expertise, not hours. I worked on imposter syndrome first, boundaries second, and the business came last (and easier).

Life Now

I run a consulting practice now. I work on strategy, not survival. Last week I took a Wednesday off to have lunch with my mum. No guilt. Just presence.
